Hello
yes I finally completed my lovely tank top and have worn it too.
What started like this…..
….is now looking like this.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating this and am enjoying wearing it even more.
I had to learn how to do the icrod finish and can honestly say that is it a lot easier than I thought.A lovely way to finish edges of any kind. A great tutorial can also be found on the Purl Bee website.
Just to remind you the pattern comes from Purl Bee my favourite website at the moment, and the wool is from Eden Cottage Yarns, bought through Loop.
What next I ask? No need to search for too long, Purl Bee have all the inspiration needed and before I know what is knitting, I’m in the middle of my next project. Or should I say projects? I’m in the middle of knitting a variegated snood
(another of Purl Bee’s creations) a silky mohair jacket inspired by Debbie Bliss and trying to get to grips with some linen wool I bought in the summer.
Event of the week must be the Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, London this weekend. (8-12 October)
I visited last year and was overwhelmed by the volume and beauty of what was on offer. Unfortunately I will not be able to visit this year 😦
However there is still the Farnham Maltings Festival of Crafts next weekend (18&19th October) I quite fancy going to have a look at what promises to be a very inspirational fair.
oooohhhh so much to do, I love it.
Hope you are having a great week too
